Production notes

When Berlin-based actor Christian Harting called the other day and let me know about a film set that was available for a production, it took me just a few seconds to agree on developing a concept for a new series. He sent some behind the scenes photos of the film production - and we decided to use the set for a series in the mood of Social Realism, an art style that became increasingly popular in the first half of the 20th century and today can be found, for example, in works of Gregory Crewdson and other artists. Thus, we created The Hopper Files.
Cuyén Mai and Drifa Hansen, two
actresses, were cast on the fly, and the crew was complete, when Nils Herres (Lights), Chiara Vogt (Make-up) and Elisa Wimmer (Hair Styling) joined without hesitating.
So the story quickly unfolded on the set that was meticulously designed and built by Paula Saraste and Daniel Redel.
