Dream Control - Cinematic Series - 2017-2018

Picture
Dream Control – The Art Book
“Feast your eyes on this stunning utopian tale of a nightmare come to life“, says master photographer Richard Tuschman (The Hopper Meditations). “These are sumptuously haunting pictures. Must be seen to be believed.”

Interview for Film Shooters Collective
In January, Ruby Berry, editor at Film Shooters Collective, wanted to know everything (and even more) about Dream Control. Being a lucid dreamer herself, the interview questions meandered around subjects like dream experiences as well as the socio-political background of the series and book. Enjoy reading!

Production notes

An art book and exhibition with staged photographs, illuminating essays, chilling stories and background texts: experience a rollercoaster ride through an entertainment park for sleepwalkers in the near future. Visually and literary compelling.

Dream Control describes and visualizes both the fascinating and terrifying aspects of an amusement park for sleepwalkers, which – as closer inspection reveals – is a front for a dubious organization, whose true motives are unknown. As such, the series is an invitation for the viewers to scrutinize the value and integrity of allegedly life-enhancing services, whose sole purpose is to jeopardize the customers’ ability to lead a self-determined, sovereign life.
