In Recent Years
Works, 2010-2015

Four years after Skin Deep Encounters hit the shelves, the new book In Recent Years includes
all major cinematic and conceptual series produced between 2010 and 2015. In addition to high-quality reproductions of the pictures, selected interviews
and essays by art critics from Austria and Italy complete this 100-page hardcover.

Publications

There are countless online and print magazines waiting to be filled with outstanding art and photography. And the number of publications is growing very fast due to the fact that on-demand printing is becoming more and more popular. While it was a primary target for artists to have their works published
in printed magazines or books, nowadays this is slowly but surely becoming
obsolete - because online magazines are widely available and accepted in the art world. Yet, in my opinion, some works just have to be printed. For example the Welcome to Twin Peaks or Landscapes of the Swedish-Mexican Border series. Please have a look at my book In Recent Years to get an overview of my defining series, produced between 2010 and 2015. A sequel is in preparation.

Skin Deep Book
Skin Deep Encounters, a book including 27 high-quality prints of the award-winning series by the same name, is currently out of print. Scheduled for reprint 2018.

Background

Based in Berlin, Frank Lassak runs his atelier Efacts Photography since 2009. His works focus on cinematic scenes, portraits, film stills and conceptual works, preferably recorded on film.
With several solo exhibitions in Berlin, Vienna, London, Thessaloniki and other European cities, as well as publications in international art magazines, Frank’s specific narrative style has attracted a large audience. He draws his creative energy from a long lasting passion for movies, dramatic theater and dance. This amalgamation of influences has formed a unique visual language.
