Beneath the Illusions - Conceptual Series - 2013/2014

Production notes

There's something hidden behind the clean façade of this town (Arcane Idyll). Hidden from the view of the innocent passer-by, but not entirely concealed. Maybe it is the darkish atmosphere, the greyish light that draws you into this scene - or just plain curiosity?

Second in this series, A Perfect Imbalance
again plays with the viewers' perception. At first sight, there seem to be no passengers on the railway station that's seen from halfway above.
The viewer's focus is directed towards the center of the image, where a strong yellowish light grabs the attention. Only those who look more closely, will notice dozens of people boarding a train that is about to leave the platform.

The Waverer takes us on a nightly journey through the city. A man, smoking a cigarette, is standing in front of a "Photoautomat", and it is not quite clear whether he's waiting for prints to be processed so he can pick them up and leave - or whether he's still not sure if he wants to have some photos taken. It's up to the viewer, how the story could unfold.
